Forklift Attachments Miramar - Miramar is a metropolis located within the state of Florida. Situated within Broward County, the city of Miramar is just a short drive from both Fort Lauderdale and Miami. The city's name means "View of the Sea" in Spanish. A Havana suburb in Cuba is likewise named Miramar.

The city of Miramar was incorporated during 1955, when it was a small city of only 7.6 square km. Today it is a large city spread over 11.5 square km. Close by are the cities of Sunrise, Hollywood and Plantation. The motto of the city used to be "The Center of Everything." Now it is "Beauty and Progress."

The city of Miramar has many community events and parks. The Miramar Civic Center hosts two fall events: the Caribe Fest during September and the Halloween Masquerade Dance in October. A new Town Center with waterfront views will hold the City Hall, retail shops and a public library, in addition to houses. The Miramar Cultural Arts Center is a center for the performing and visual arts.

Broward County has several attractions for their residents and visitors, including Art and Culture Centre of Hollywood; Museum of Art; Museum of Discovery and Science; International Game Fish Association Hall of Fame and Museum and International Swimming Hall of Fame. An old trading post called the Stranahan House is, open to tourists. The historic Bonnet House is situated close to Fort Lauderdale beach. Other historic locations in the county include Old Fort Lauderdale Village and Museum and Old Davie School Historical Museum.

The city of Miramar is located close to transportation centres. In a half-hour drive of Miramar are two major seaports: Port of Miami and Port Everglades. Both are used a lot by cargo ships and cruise lines. Two main international airports, Miami International Airport and Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport, are also located near Miramar City.

Within the whole United States, Miramar is ranked as the 12th biggest radio market and the 17th biggest television market known as the Miami-Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood media market. Residents of Miramar get their news from The Miami Herald and the South Florida-Sun Sentinel. The newspapers that are written in Spanish are El Nuevo Herald and El Sentinel.
