 Cascade Manufacturing Company was established in Portland, Oregon in the year 1943. They began as a small machine shop at first hiring four individuals. Product sales for their first year of operation totaled sixty thousand dollars. The very first recorded sales revenues involved the assembly and machining of stainless steel pipe fittings, valves and different parts. In 1964, the company altered its name to the Cascade Corporation. After that in 1965, the business went public with a preliminary offering of 200,000 shares of common stock. Since then the company has expanded its manufacturing facilities within the continental US to the areas Warner Robins Georgia to go along with its already existing plants in Portland, Oregon and Springfield, Ohio.
